Big, heavy pot. Great for outdoor cookin
For cooking big meals. Especially outdoors and cajun meals. Washing wax off the new pot was difficult.

Perfect for large family dinners or for special occasions (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc). Cooks a roast perfectly.

The cast inside was a little rough.
The cast inside was a little rough; I had to grind it smooth before seasoning. There was no seasoning instructions with the Dutch oven, in fact there was no information included. It is a great pot to fix large recipes in; I use it for jambalaya and Emeril Lagasse Cheesy Beef Stroganoff Casserole. The pot is heavy, but that is to be expected, after all, it is a large cast iron Dutch oven. After proper seasoning, it works great. Food doesn't stick. All in all, it is a great value.
